Mission & vision
Why we exist, where we are going.
Everything at Riverstone hangs on one sentence — and points toward one horizon.
Our mission
To help ordinary people find and follow Jesus in everyday life.
No gimmicks, no gatekeeping. We believe the gospel is good news for normal people — so we build a church where the curious can explore, the broken can heal, and the convinced can be sent.
Our vision
A city renewed, one table at a time.
By 2030 we dream of 100 small groups across Austin — living rooms, cafés, and break rooms where people encounter Jesus — and a church known less for its Sunday production than for its Monday presence: feeding the hungry, mentoring students, and loving the city until it looks a little more like heaven.
100
small groups
across the city by 2030
Gather
We gather weekly for worship that is honest, excellent, and centered on Jesus — not us.
Grow
We grow in circles, not rows — small groups where Scripture and real life actually meet.
Go
We go into our city as servants and storytellers, carrying hope into every neighborhood.
What we believe
Ancient faith, open hands.
We hold the historic Christian faith with conviction and humility — clear on the essentials, generous on the rest. Here is where we stand.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God — our final authority for faith and life, true in all it affirms and relevant to every generation.
